Fun at MNF, and later

I visited Sapphire twice on my most recent trip to Vegas. The first time was for their Monday Night Football. It costs $20 and includes a ride to the club, admission, two drink tickets, and their buffet food. The show room is a good place to watch a game, better than most bars in fact. The screens are large and elevated, providing an excellent view. The waitresses serving the room are attentive. The buffet was better this time than when I was there last year. It included a quality fresh salad bar with multiple toppings, wings, roasted brussel sprouts, pork tenderloin, chicken & rice, chips, and some pretty decent brownies. The only negative to the room is that the tables are a bit crammed together.

During time outs they have a raffle for various, largely worthless, items. They did give away some bottles of liquor (though something odd like a cherry whiskey) and a few "dance dollars". A dancer told me that their $20 "dance dollar" coupons aren't worth a full dance because the club takes out a few dollars of it when they turn them in, so the giveaway wasn't even for full dances. I have heard that at one point they gave away more substantial prizes like half hour rooms, but I've never seen that happen.

At half time they fill the gap with dollar dances. Twnety or more dancers came into the show room and wandered around giving thirty-second dances for a dollar. This can be a litle hit or miss depending on where you're sitting and whether the dancers make their way to you. This trip was more of a hit for me, and I had a dancer in my lap for most of the half time. The dances weren't amazing, but flirty and topless. I found them a nice way to scope out the dancers in the club and get at least a sense of their dances. It's certainly better than the network's halftime show.
