Very Slow Night, But I Kind Of Liked It

After seeing skibum’s recent review, I was looking forward to checking this place out. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out too well.

I was traveling through Providence on the evening a large snowstorm was expected, and snow was already falling by the time I got to Fantasies at about 9:00 p.m. I parked in the large, free parking lot and went in.

There was a metal detector and bouncer at the door, but no cover charge, probably because the place looked deserted. The club is very big, with a large stage in the middle of the room and bars on either side to the left and right. This club is solidly in the mid-tier range—not fancy, but far from a dive. The only music played while I was there was classic rock, which was fine with me.
