Weekday afternoon @ Rick's

I'm a fan of weekday afternoons at Rick's. Seems to always be plenty of women around and not that many customers, so you can sit where you want, plenty of room. Plus $8 drinks, a bargain for NYC. Mainstage plus a small satellite stage, bar area, just the right size for me. Not a mega club, but not small. I get the sense that they treat their dancers pretty well, most seem to be in a decent mood most of the time.

On this afternoon, as is the case with most of my visits, I'd say half the women were of interest to me. That means either they were very attractive or had something unique about them. Sometimes it's a funky look, sometimes its the ability to have a good conversation. I've met some really smart women there, it always feels cool to me to have a real conversation in the context of a strip club. If I'm enjoying the conversation, I'll hand over a $20 every now and then.

I met a beautiful college student on this visit. Great dancer, smart. But no ability to flirt. She could dance sexy, and talk smart, but those were her only two gears. No "vamp." Weird.
