Still Plays with Dolls
This night I decided it was an early night and would not drive to Cocoa, but instead see if anything has changed in Mouse Town.
Some kudos (tongue in cheek) are due to Thee Dollhouse. Looking very much like a place that used to be famous, on a Wednesday evening around 9, it still had a $10 VIP parking valet, with no one parked in the massive VIP parking area. Proceed to the back of the lot though, and it was almost full. The tiny entrance is through a ‘50s-vintage metal screen door. Two unusually fresh-faced people from central casting (a young man in a suit and a woman behind a desk) respectively check your ID and ask for a (what???) $20 cover. After a brief “WTF” under my breath, I gave ‘em my money. So what do you get for that cover?
1. No thug life in the club. A few redneck guys on vacation maybe (at least one had a cowboy hat on), but the PLs were mainly Caucasian in a club in an area that is decidedly not Altamonte Springs.
