Grab the Rhino by the Horn...

So its been a while since I was in Lexington, but they have some of the best clubs so I always try to check out at least one while in town.  This trip brings a visit to one of the old faithful spots I had not paid a visit to in a while....Spearmint Rhino!  I don't know why I get tagged with the "club ad" in my reviews occasionally but trust me I'm not a club ad.  You can check my other reviews of Kentucky clubs (I visit here for business periodically) to prove it.

So Spearmint Rhino...In my opinion one of the classiest places in Lexington!  They get beat by Platinum Dolls on talent occasionally but this place has a vibe of being top shelf.  The decor, the atmosphere, the whole scene just feels a notch above.  The entrance is a hall/atrium with a bouncer outside & a bouncer at the desk along with the cover girl.  You always get wanded at this place before entry & they have always been extremely nice/friendly.  On this visit a buddy of mine had a knife on him (he just forgot about) that was extremely sentimental to him (got it while in active duty).  The bouncer was nice enough to hold it for him until our evening was over & returned it to him upon our exit.  I've never seen that happen before.  Once thru the entrance there is a hallway with huge blowups of dancers & the occasional "pro" that passes thru.  (They have porn-stars come in about once a month or so & they usually take the stage a few times per night....the last one I saw poured milk all over her body & then dipped oreos in the milk between her cleavage & fed to stage patrons...really cool evening but I digress).

Then you come to the main stage which has a sort of bi-level auditorium structure to it.  A large bar over to the left, seating up high & seating down low.  The tables all have a cloth linen table cloths & as I said it seems very upscale compared to the competition.  On the upper levels surrounding the stage their are 2 or 3 mini stages which get used pretty frequently during heavy rotation nights.  There are also 2 pedestal stages in case the stage is too crowded.  Point being there are a lot of places to catch dancers.  About every hour they run a 3 song special and the whole parade of dancers graces the stage so you can pick who ya want at that point.  When the special isn't on its $100 for 3 songs (approx. 10 min.)  Its totally worth it depending on the girl.
