Slow Sunday afternoon
Dropped in on a pit stop during a long car trip. This place is right off the highway. It’s part of a highway rest stop complex along with a gas station, convenience store, and family restaurant; the location is a little weird. The entrance is off to the side. Plenty of parking in the middle of the afternoon. They charged $5 to come in the door. Not much, but still too much given that no one came onstage for the entire 30 minutes I was there. The layout is a longish entrance / hallway when you come e in. There are private dance rooms with curtains on the right, and then a little further on the bar is to your left. Beyond that is a non-elevated stage with several poles. Very neon, 80s Motley Crue vibe. There were maybe a half dozen other guys at the bar. I ordered a drink and waited. No dancers came out. There appeared to be one working — maybe late 40s or 50 — and she was giving private dances in the booth. I declined. After a half hour of waiting for a stage show, which showed no sign of materializing, I got the road.
