Better Late Than Never?

Plans to hit up this club in the afternoon, when there’s no cover and the standard lappers are just $10 for a full song, fell through so I entered late in the evening during the last quarter of MNF. Little had changed since my visit during the summer the previous year. The door station at the right as one enters was staffed by a friendly cutie. The night-time cover was $5, bottled water was $4 or $5. Tipping a buck or two at the door and when being served seems genuinely appreciated.

Turning left at the door station to enter the club itself, one is faced with the stage. It dominates that side of the small club but is not itself overwhelming. The girls do two- or three-song sets, and on what that depends is unclear. Dancers start off in lingerie or bikinis and most are down to a thong by mid second song, often earlier. Stage tipping is rewarded by attention. Some will take the dollar with their boobs, some will take it in a garter or thong. Some are adept at making you think you’re going to get a quick peek at the kitty but that (almost) never happens. The night I was there, there were probably 20 dancers (and as many customers). They were surprisingly attractive compared to my last visit, most 7s & 8s. About 2/3rds were white with the rest being either black or Latina or a mix of at least two of those three. I don’t remember seeing anyone who seemed to have any Asian blood.

There are two bars in the club. One is just past the stage and one to the left of the stage, past the popular pool table. If one faces the stage, with their back to the pool table, the DJ booth is to the right (adjacent to the entrance/exit) and the large, communal room for lap dances is to the left (it shares a wall with the bar that’s past the stage).
