West Virginia, Mountain Mama....

Had heard that this club was maybe the only one worth visiting on a recent drive, so looked it up and was only 15 minutes off I70.

Seemed decent size from the outside, but with a small parking lot out front, which was pretty full. Walked in front door, and had to press a door-buzzer for doorman to come to the window for my ID and $10 cover. Was already thinking “leave!”.

Another obnoxious buzzer and I was allowed entry. Place seemed fresh, no stale odors and lots of accent lighting. Large stage that runs parallel to the bar, with a not-too-attractive dancer on it.

Approached the bar, and girl sitting with another gent eyes me and says I can sit with her. Uh, not looking to get in a fight right away, so I smile and take a walk to the restroom. I return to the bar, take a seat 2 stools away from her and by now have decided that she really was the only girl there that was over a 5 and under 150lbs (hence the review title!). Sip my $5 beer and watch the game - several TVs were going, so there’s an easy way to avoid eye-contact when you want to.

After a couple songs, the girl-with-guy turns to me and pats the chair next to her. I shake my head and she scoots over next to me! She comments he was already talking to another girl, so it was no problem. Right.
