Upscale NYC club - bring money
First of all this place is definitely a more upscale kind of gentleman's club compared to other strip clubs I have been to. Went to this place on a Saturday night with two other buddies of mine. Even the entrance is grand with large doors and overhead coverings, compared to some other clubs that were pretty much like a warehouse with a tiny entrance. But all of that came with a price. We had to pay $20 to get in and the doorman even asked for a tip. Gave the guy 10 bucks since this was my first time there and I really didn't know what to expect.
Inside, the clubs is split into levels. Once you enter, you need to walk through a narrow passage which leads to the main level with a large bar and a main stage. There were also smaller single poles and mini bars on the upper levels. There were seats at the bar and smaller groups of couches at the stage. We chose to sit on one of the sofas on the upper level. Drinks were particularly pricey and they kept pushing us to get a bottle. I asked how much a scotch bottle would cost us and was quoted $600!
There were quite a number of dancers, which I figured to be mostly eastern European kinds from their accent. 9 out of 10 dancers were your typical tall, fair, blonde hair kind. Most of them would come around and whisper into your ear "want dance?" or something similar and walk off as soon as you said no. I did ended up getting a dance from one of the girls (Candy or something, don't remember her name) and was quoted $40 for it. The dance was a typical air, one way contact kind of dance and worst of all it was done right in the open.
