Not really happening on a Thursday evening...

I had never been to this place before even though it is only about 15 minutes from where I live; I actually found out about it from TUSCL reviews...the reviews indicated it could be hit or miss but since it was just a a little off my route home from work I decided to give it a shot. It is located in a quiet surburban neighborhood; there's a large, well lit parking lot. When I went in I was a little surprised that at 7:30PM on a Thursday at this location , they were charging a $5 cover but I paid and entered. It is basically a large square space with a large rectangular bar with a long oblong stage in the middle; pool tables are in the back of the club. It is neither fancy nor crummy, just your basic decent bar space--which means it is all down to the dancers. On this night, there were about 8 customers and 7 dancers that I could see; aside from the one dance onstage, most of the others were talking to customers or each other around the bar. Unfortunately, of the 7 dancers--3 white dancers and 4 black, six were in the 3 - 5 range; the exception was in the 6 - 7 range, depending on your taste, a petite but curvy brown-skinned young and fresh one. The stage dancing was lack-lustre, though you can't really blame the dancers too much as there was very little audience and much of that audience was in conversation. After two records, each dancer came around for a tip and to solicit a private dance. I was informed that a basic private dance was $30 per and there were two others options--$100 for I think 15 minutes in a bigger better (?) room and $135 for 15 minutes in a still bigger/better room with a drink included. Not clear what made those other rooms "better"; maybe more private. But as the talent didn't entice me, I didn't try a private dance. So if this place is hit-or-miss, tonight was definitely a miss.
