Malena and the New Club

After a disappointing visit Wednesday (I got there before 7:30 and they were closed) I got back to That 1 Place ( the new name ) Friday afternoon. Improvements are coming, but slowly. There were contractor's trucks in the lot, but I couldn't tell if they were working or had just stopped after work for a drink. The parking is now flat, that is, no longer covered with craters that looked like a WWII battle scene. There are 2 new signs with the new name and indicating "always hiring dancers". The place has a generally "cleaned up" look.

The bartender is a former dancer. She is not from this club, but danced previously in Akron. She decided to give it up before her kid got old enough to figure out his mom takes her clothes off for a living. (her words) We talked fairly long about how hard it is to get dancers you can depend on showing up. She is the owner's niece. She let me know that they were closed Wednesday because no dancers showed up. Today there was one.

I had to wait through a couple songs for Marlena, the one dancer, to come from the back, but when she did she came right to me when she saw me by myself. Marlena has also danced in Akron and we talked a while about the clubs I have been to and the places she has danced in the past. She is about 5'5" and her shape is starting to surrender to gravity a bit, but still hot enough to get dances from. We had the VIP area to ourselves and she did a good dance. When we were talking at the bar she told me it was her first day and she still dances at 76 some. The dance was pretty tame. I'm going to chalk that up to the strictness at 76 and the fact that she hadn't settled in here quite yet. Another thing is I rarely drink alcohol in these places so that I don't risk a DUI or smelling of alcohol when I get home and sometimes that says to the girls "COP". I will go back and we will get more comfortable with each other in the future, I'm sure. Specifics: There was touching on legs and breasts, I didn't try to get too aggressive about the crotch area and she didn't either... somewhat disappointing... I showed her a Stevie and she laughed when I told her what it was called. She didn't attempt to stop anything, but I was taking my time. I gave her $20 for 2 dances (the rate is posted) and tipped her $10. She was friendly and easy to talk to.
