Mileage, dancers, smokiness, cover charge, dance prices, and pretty much everything else will vary
On my recent pass through St. Louis, I tried a couple of clubs I hadn't been to before, and one of these was PT's Show Club. I visited twice, once on a Thursday and then again on Saturday. My first impressions were colored a bit by the trip out there. My GPS flaked for some reason and wound me through some out of the way roads and sketchy-feeling neighborhoods. Once I arrived, though, the club had a large, illuminated lot. It's off one side of a traffic circle, with the Onyx club and an AMP across the streets.
On my first visit, I arrived around 9:00pm on Thursday. Inside I gave them the ticket I'd gotten from Country Rock Cabaret on Wednesday. Based on the sign on the wall, I think these are supposed to be for same-day admission at the clubs (CRC, PT's, and Diamond which is near CRC), but the guy at the desk hardly looked at it and didn't charge me. I'm not sure if he'd have even charged me a cover without it. He didn't check my id either. There's a metal detector on the way inside. On Saturday, when I arrived about 1:00am, they charged me a $15 cover.
PTs is the smallest club I've visited in St. Louis. From the entrance there's a curtained off space to the left for lap dances and then the open floor area ahead and stretching right. There's a rectangular wrap-around bar in the middle of the room, with three small stages beyond that. One of the stages has a pole, but it was not used much. There's very little seating other than the chairs directly at the stages and the stools around the bar. On the left side of the stage area, next to the DJ booth, is a table with a sofa and some chairs. Then on the opposite side of the bar from the stages are a handful of other chairs. You can't see the stages at all from those.
