If there was one club in and around Montreal that could be called upscale, King’s Cabaret was it. Much like the other downtown strip clubs, this place is a glorified bar but had some nice design flourishes. It “looked” like a strip club, though, not just a bar with a stage in the middle of it. This club had some sheen to it, and it wasn’t that far from the convention center so it was clear that the girls here were used to conversing with customers with a wide variety of backgrounds and interests. The way the girls vaguely reminded me of the way the dancers at Teatro in Switzerland carried themselves, but not nearly at that level of refinement.

I wanted to watch the show for a bit, so picked a row of seats further back around where a decorative tree was to keep myself a little out of view. It didn’t really work, because there was a steady stream of dancers stopping by for a chat until I finally picked a girl to sit with me just hold back the line. Vietnamese girl. Skinny with a ton of tats but cute face. Spoke perfect English. That was helpful because I wasn’t sure after the door guys clearly had a French accent and charged me a higher cover because I didn’t speak French. Think it was 10 Canadian dollars instead of 5.I got a couple of dances from the first dancer and they were nothing special. No particular heat in the interaction but she was functional and did a good grind.

The dance area has privacy, but it didn’t really seem like much was going on in the way of hot n’ heavy fun. Customers need to do take out or go off island unless the place is specifically set up for private fun time, at least that’s what I gathered from just about every club down in the city. The two places that seemed like they’d be a little more fun didn’t have the girls there to make it worthwhile. After the dances at around 20 Canadian each, I went back out to the main floor and said on the other side of the club where there were some chairs facing the stage. There was a fee to get into the back booth area, but I only had to pay the $5 once.
