Extended Hours

Had to drop a friend off at the airport late Saturday night, and decided to stop by on my way back. It was almost 1:00am when I got there. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have bothered, but they're now open until 4:00am Friday and Saturday. It was a bit crowded, and I waited ten minutes for a seat to free up at the bar. There weren't as many dancers as I would have expected. I've been here before when there were four on stage at one time, but tonight there were only two or three, and they cycled through the active lineup in about an hour. Not my thing, but a visiting porn star did a set, and I enjoyed soliciting catty comments from one of the dancers.

Just before Two, there was an announcement for last call at the bar. After that, the bar staff started cleaning up and putting things away. They'd still serve you something non-alcoholic, but for the most part they were done. By 2:30, most of the guys were gone, though most of the dancers seemed to be hanging in there. Past that point, it was getting pretty boring, and I would have left except that I had spotted a woman earlier I wanted to dance with, but she kept getting intercepted before I could get her attention. Finally caught up with her around 3:00, and was well satisfied after a few dances. While it's nice to have the option of hanging out past Two, the party is pretty much over as soon as the last drink is consumed. After that, it's just a couple of guys watching the ice melt in their glasses, and dancers whom I'm guessing are obligated to stay.

While I'm pontificating, would like to give props to the kitchen. They've got one of the best burgers I've ever had. Recommend getting it with sauteed onions and wiz on the side to dip your fries in. If you're lucky it'll be served by Dee Dee aka Double-D. While she can be busy, if you get a chance to talk to her, she's more personable and better looking than most of the dancers.
