Three favorites make up for one ROB

We pause from bracketology on the discussion board to bring you a review of a trip I made to Polekatz in recent weeks. This one was odd because I felt like I got ripped off, yet the good still outweighed the bad. If anything, I probably got a little too worked up by seeing my favorites before seeing another woman I thought I could add to the list of favorites, only to find out she's moreso a ROB. We don't have enough blood to keep both heads functional at once. That's just the way it goes.

I got a late start on the night, spending a healthy amount of time at two other clubs near O'Hare waiting to see if other favorites would show up. When they didn't, it was off to the south side and Polekatz, though I didn't get there until a little after 2. Parking was $5. I'm enough of a known commodity there that they usually recognize me and I don't have to pay cover; it's a nice bonus if you become semi-regular.

It was a truly stellar night at Polekatz, which was surprising, given it was a holiday weekend and later at night. I didn't think there would be great talent at all; to the contrary, it was an all-star cast, mostly 7 and up. Granted, yes, I was two drinks in from having one at each of the O'Hare clubs, but I remembered thinking as I looked at even the ladies I didn't know from the upstairs VIP area, damn, this was a great collection.
