Stopped in to Cafe Atlantis recently early afternoon on a Saturday after a lengthy absence. There were about a dozen dancers with the majority being early twenties and thin mixed with some older veteran ladies that usually seem to be around. The stage shows were almost continuous with a decent sound system and beer was $10 (including tip). Most of the music was rap with the odd rock and roll set. The club itself seemed in decent shape as far as cleanliness of washrooms, etc.
Most of the younger ladies seemed content with their phones and although the older ladies were nice enough, several ladies that seem to be almost always there that I was looking forward to seeing were absent and there not seem to be any real lookers arriving as the afternoon went on. It seemed a shadow of itself - perhaps due to the weather or that many ladies moved to other clubs? Regardless, the talent level and atmosphere were a little disappointing (no one sparked my interest for a dance). Based on previous past experiences I'll stop in to Cafe Atlantis again during the day to see if things have changed, but this visit of about an hour and a half was uninspired.
