Meh time at the Boat

In town for business and stopped by the boat. Bouncer checked for weapons and gave my $5 cover fee to the gal at the counter. Stepped into the club and sat at a table near the main stage. Dancers were rotating between the main stage and 2 side stages. Waitress promptly stopped by and they had happy hour two-for-1 specials, so ordered a beer. The glasses are super small (about 6 ounces), so kinda a rip-off in my opinion. As I was finishing my 2nd beer, the waitress stopped by and said happy hour was ending soon and would I like another 2-for-1. Sure. She comes back with 1 beer and said the bar tender would not honor the order. Really? $6 for a 6 ounce draw is not a good deal. Anyway, some decent looking dancers as well as some that really shouldn't dance. One dancer I had read about on another board was present and heard she was fun in the CR. Tipped her at the stage and told her to stop by and she did after her last stage dance. Had a couple $10 lappers which were OK, but nothing great. She sat and talked a bit and I inquired about the CR. She said the dances would be the same -- very little contact. Thought that was strange given her reputation on another board. I've never had dances with her before so she likely didn't trust I wasn't LEO. I passed on the CR since it didn't sound like it would be a good time. Bummer. Test drove a couple more dancers, but none were CR worthy. I noticed the songs were cut super short by the DJ, so kinda a rip-off. Seems like songs were barely 2 minutes long. Also, can't understand anything the DJ says so it's hard to hear the dancers name as they get on the stage. It seems the DJ has a mumbling shtick that he thinks is cool, but it's really quite annoying. In summary, shortened songs, overpriced beer, happy hour issues and average dancers. I'll return if in town, but it's nothing special.
