Heaven by Mistake

I recently spent time in San Diego and decided to check out the strip club action in the area. While researching my options I ran across this site. It did not take long to realize that just 20 minutes away in Tijuana my options became much more expansive as far as service per dollar spent. I spent two days reading the reviews for the clubs in the zone and quickly realized that I would be going to Hong Kong Bar (Yes this is a review of Las Chavelas Bar. Bear with me.)

After reading every review on tuscl.net for Hong Kong provided in 2019, I decided to go for a Friday night visit. I drove to the border, parked in the lot directly next to the freeway and walked to the pedestrian crossing. Getting through the immigration checkpoint into Mexico was seamless. A short 10 minute wait, a grunt from the immigration office and off I go. He did not even provide a visa stamp in my passport. After exiting the checkpoint I am barraged by taxi offers. Anxious for my adventure, I accepted the first taxi offer (mistake #1).

This turned out to be a gypsy driver and not a real taxi. I tell him my destination and we begin the drive to Hong Kong. We drive for quite a while longer than it seems necessary to go the relatively short distance to the club. After a few minutes we are pulled over by the police. The fake police. I get shook down for $40.00 by the police for a “seat belt violation” and continue on my way. I’m angry about being robbed but happy that I still had funds to have fun at the club. The driver eventually brings me to the club and drops me at the curb. Still angry at being robbed, I get out of the cab and walk straight into the club.
