I stopped in again on a friday afternoon before heading to Centerfold's to check that place out for the first time. I hadn't been into the Candy Store for over a month, and there were a couple changes. They've put kind of an awning thing up over the entry way, I guess trying to class up the place a little.. and it looks like they've completely done away with urban music in their mix. That's too bad, because I like some hiphop booty shaking music mixed in there... and I really don't like hearing a Johnny Cash song instead. Mostly they're sticking to rock and hard rock.. and MAYBE a dancer can sneak in Atomic Dog or some old motown, but that's as black as the music gets anymore. Bummer. I guess its been a little slow in there lately (as it is at most all Phoenix clubs during the heat of summer) so its changed up the dynamic a bit for the moment dancer-wise. Typically the younger better looking dancers stick to the night shifts, but if they have some slow nights, they come in during the day to make up for it... which tends to piss off the day girls, causing some of them to leave early in disgust if they can't compete. Sooooo, the eye candy is better earlier during the day, but then again a lot of those day girls were the more enjoyable dances because they're nicer and friendlier.. a bit of a trade off. Had to drop my rating a bit due to the music..
