Beware the expensive drinks.
I'm not sure if this is currently still called Cheetah's or if it's Babe's. But anywho, I stopped by about 3:30pm after another disappointing monday at Hi-Liter. I'd been here 2 or 3 times before since May. There was no cover. In fact there was no one at the door. Even more in fact, I don't recall anyone at the door in any of the my prior visits.
There were seven dancers working as far as could tell. Four young black girls, two older hispanic women. A tall blonde with dancer shit short hair, who was also a bit older. And another younger, but fat hispanic dancer. She was the only overweight dancer there, and she tends to be very pushy. The two older hispanic dancers had nice bodies and still had curves and not the usual box shape you see a lot of hispanic dancers have these days. I'd bet they were top earners in their heyday.
The four black dancers were each at different tables, sitting on customers laps. The two older hispanic women were at the bar- each also actively engaged with a customer. I ordered a mixed drink (Beam and coke, or Jack and coke) and was informed of the two-drink minimum. I had the choice of two regular drinks, or making one a double (i.e. stronger). I choose the latter and it cost me $24.00!
