Less silicone than most Vegas clubs, with nicer VIP sections.
Stopped in for my very first visit to the legendary Palominos on Saturday just before midnight. Used Uber from my strip hotel, was an 11 minute drive and a $13 fare. I had read reviews and knew to not Uber to the club, but to Jerry's Nugget Casino right across the street so as not to be charged the full $30 cover. As I stepped out of the Uber at the valet parking entrance at the casino I could see Palomino's directly behind me and even worried that the bouncer would see me and try to charge me full cover. So I went inside the casino and did a brief lap, even used the bathroom, then came back out and walked across the street. Step inside the door to the lobby where 3 other guys are in line before me. I notice that it's the cashier that simply asks guys how they got here, the bouncer outside doesn't say. Once again from reviews, I knew to not say that I ubered or Taxi'd in. So when it was my turn the cashier asks to see my ID. She scans it, just like the San Francisco clubs in my area do. Then asks how I got there. To which I simply respond, "I walked across the street from Jerry's". Charges me $10 and in I go.
I go inside and the place is packed! I expected as much on a Saturday night. Folks standing in the main path because there was no where else to stand or sit. Straight ahead I see the stage, which has 2 poles and 2 different dancers surrounded by a packed perverts row littering the stage with ones. As I take a couple steps forward I pass by an doorless entryway on the right that leads to a good sized room where a bunch of couch dances look to be taking place. Then a couple steps later I pass by a long stairway on the left that leads to a second floor, I later find out it's a VIP area. I keep walking straight until I get to a part where the club opens up. Go straight and you can find a seat for perverts row by the stages. Turn right and there are more tables and chairs to find a seat, but tonight they were all taken. Turn left and you go up a short incline path that leads to some high top seats and tables, and the bar.
I head straight for the bar to get a beer and scope out the scene. A corona was $8, and a mixed drink was $12-14 depending on what you get. I stand at the bar and try to see as many dancers as I can. The stage is visible enough from the bar, although you're about 20-30 feet away at that point. The good part about the bar is that there seem to be two entryways used by dancers to exit the main floor on both ends. So when the dancers head back there as they frequently do, you can see if any are your type.
