Interesting, by don't use the ATM
I hadn't been here in a while so decided to check it out around 8 on a Friday. First off, this is not the old Archibald's. With the old Archibald's, there was a downstairs with 3/4 stages, and upstairs there was an overflow area with 2/3 stages and a pool hall type place. All that is gone. Downstairs is being renovated. You go upstairs and there is one stage. Above that, they said there were VIP rooms, but I did not partake. The upstairs room is no quasi-dive like the old Archibald's. It is actually very nice and classy. They have elevated the space (despite only one stage for now while they're renovating).
It's $10 to get in (at least at 8 on a Friday) and they give you a wristband. Not sure why, and I didn't ask. I made the rookie/noob mistake of using the ATM (I was being lazy). The ATM says it's a $20 fee (ouch) but looking at my account online a few days later, and they actually took $40 as the fee. So stay away from the ATM for sure.
Upstairs, I sat at the bar, which was fine. Everyone was very pleasant, but I wouldn't say any stunners were working. 5s/6s mostly. They was one stage, with various interesting pole alternatives (think gymnastic swinging bars; a hanging hoop thing). I don't know if that was put up for a special performer or what. The performers still do the dollar tip walk after their set.
