Should have gone to the Champagne Room after all

Raider's Reef
6475 E. Golf Links Road Tucson, AZ 85730
This visit to Raider's Reef was later than my previous visits. I wanted to see how this club compared afternoon vs evening. The parking lot was fuller when I arrived a little after 9:00 p.m. but I still found a parking spot in the first three rows from the entrance so not bad. The doorman was hanging out on the ramp leading into the club and we exchanged greetings. He opened the door and ushered me in then asked me about weapons as he pass the wand over me. All good, I paid the cute young lady the $5 cover and went inside the now familiar interior. The music, as is typical, was a hip-hop song, to be mixed with slow rock tunes, I was certain. There are a few steps leading down into the main area where the main stage is front and center with the bar in the right, rear and the men's room to the left, front where I went, passing the unoccupied second stage and the VIP area. Once back on the main floor I noticed the majority of the chairs were unoccupied, a few tables had two or three patrons at them. The main stage had a somewhat attractive curly, sandy-blonde haired dancer already topless. It was the second of the two songs the dancers on the main stage dance. I noticed that no one was tipping her for some reason. I took that as a slow night so I was hesitant to stay and decided to stand at the foot of the steps and give it some time as it was likely still early. One of the most attractive waitresses I have seen was standing in the middle of the steps so I asked her if it was indeed early or typical for a Wednesday. She perked up and said that it was early and the club would pick up around 10 or so. We chatted for a bit, her describing how on slower nights she tended to have to be a baby-sitter for some of the girls for various reasons. I listened and commented as appropriate and after a few minutes asked her for some water, intending to tip her for the time and information. I sat at one of the tables directly in front of the steps and a row or so back from the stage, giving me a great view of everything going on and the waitress, I later found out was Erica, brought me not a bottle of water but a glass. when i asked her how much she said don't worry about it, so I handed her a $5 because she was cool. By that time I had seen four more girls coming in and a couple, two, maybe three leave. I suspected the shift had changed. There were still at least six girls that would dance in the mean time and they ranged from good sixes to a solid eight, or better, depending on your tastes. A table to my left had a couple dancers there and I notice in my periphery they seemed to be having a good time. I watched the next dancer with little interest as one of the dancers that had been at the afore mentioned table came over and introduced herself, Tesla. Tesla is an attractive red-head, freckles and great smile. She was smaller chested than I typically prefer but I liked her personality right away. We chatted the usual at first. However, she went on to describe a freckle she had in what I thought was an unusual place. After a while she explained to me the special for the night was $60 for three songs Champagne Room, which, as it turns out, I should have taken. I was still a little uncertain of whether I was going to stay or not and how long as I had a flight out of town the next morning. She then offered a $10 table dance as a trial run and then we could either go to the Champagne Room or VIP, which was more private than the floor, of course, but less than the Champagne Room. The VIP was $20/song. She had to do her songs on stage where she was fantastic, especially on the pole. Turns out she said that she won the AZ state was third nationally at pole dancing last year. I had intended to tip her as she was dancing but another dancer, a rather average brunette who either did not even tell me her name or if she did I completely spaced on it, came over and started chatting with me. I was wanting to be polite and did not walk away from her to tip Tesla so I kept chatting. However, when she asked me if i was getting any dances I told her I was planning on getting some from Tesla. That ended the conversation, just as Tesla came back. As such, after she cooled down a bit, even using her southern belle fan, she did the dance at the table. Tesla did a great job on the floor, lots of grinding and enticing. She was fun. That meant we went to the VIP where she did a even better job dancing, good mileage, lots of fun. We had so much fun we did go for three songs $90 total, $10 on the floor, $60 in the VIP and a bit of a tip. I could have gone over to the ATM and kept the party going but again, I decided to head out instead and try again on a different night. I got Tesla's digits, texted her and she actually responded, which was cool. She was a lot of fun. Bottom line, bad decision on my part about not going with Tesla into the Champagne Room after all, but maybe next time...
