I usually visit the Criket given where I am based geographically, but I recently had some time and read good things about Subi's so I thought I would give it a shot.
Vibe: The place is at a bit of an odd location, just adjacent to a neighborhood and some houses. I actually parked on the street to avoid valet. It is non-smoking, which I prefer. It isn't a huge place. Bar is straight ahead when you enter. DJ is in the back, and bathrooms behind him. There are three stages in the middle of the room, but only one was in use during my visit. Chairs and tables on the floor, with booths elevated on the right. There is a lower cost dance area immediately to your right upon entering, semi private. Fully private VIP area behind the DJ. Quiet vibe, only a couple patrons when I entered, though a 3-4 more came while I was there for a couple hours.
Entertainment: Average quality was better than Criket today (one 6, and 3-4 7s), but there were only 3 dancers when I reached, and after two hours, only a couple more came in, so not much choice. Dancers also stick to regulars if they have them. I was able to make conversation with two ladies briefly, but because of the small quantity of numbers, conversation didn't get very far before they had to go back up on stage. I asked if this was common, and at least during the week, I was told it gets busier over the course of the shift.
Value: Booths were free, at least during the day. A plus compared to other places, though, I don't think it made a difference during my visit. Drinks were around $7-9 each. Semi private dances were quoted at $20, VIP at $25, Nude in VIP at $40. I timed the DJ to see how long he was letting his songs run - there was a considerable variation (from just under 2 minutes to over 4 minutes) which discouraged me from getting straight dances. I thought about negotating for time, but ended up just leaving. There was a free "buffet" from 2 pm, which was nice, but wasn't too impressive (pizza and chicken strips). No cover during day.
Overall, I'll give it another chance. Quiet is good in my book, though choice is also good.
