You enter Desert Flame at the bar. To the left are the VIP areas; to the right is the main room. The main room is laid out as a shallow “U” around a fairly small stage. The ceiling is low, and although there are a few fans it may get smoky when busy. There were only a few customers there during my Saturday 6-8:30 visit, but when I left the smoke was clinging to my clothes.

Desert Flame has couches along one wall for the $20 dances. The rest of the room has detestable little bucket seats with wheels. $10 dances are performed in the wheelchairs. These give the women no room to do much, so they push the couch and VIP dances, a minus.

Another minus is the 2 for 1 draft specials, because they bring both beers at the same time. I’ll give a big plus to the music. While I was there the DJ played a nice pop/rock mix, and the songs play out longer than at other clubs in town. Lighting is good in the room and in the VIP room, but poor on the stage. I needed a table close to the stage to see the dancers’ faces.
