Friday Night in June -- Great Time!

Three or four times a year, I come down from the Pacific Northwest to Phoenix on business. And when I do, I almost always drop by Bourbon Street. I’ve tried several of the other clubs in the Phoenix area, but I always end up back at Bourbon Street.

Okay. First, the basics. There’s usually a cover charge, about $8 to 12. You are of course expected to buy a drink. But they are very easygoing about how often you buy another one. I often nurse the same drink for an hour or more without any hassle. (Be sure to tip the girl who takes order drinks.)

There are comfortable (and looking clean) chairs throughout. Some people complain about it being too dark. I don’t agree. I don’t want bright lights, other than on the stage.
