Sunday at GGR

I stopped into GGR at about 6pm on a recent Sunday. I knew that this was not a great time to be visiting, but this was when I was passing through the area and I only had about an hour to spare. Paid my $10 cover and went in. There were about 5-7 customers, mostly guys over 50, a few being well north of 60 (I’m 50 myself so no judgements here). The place is set up with a long rectangular stage with two or three poles. There are a bunch of seats right at the stage and the dancers tend to do do an up close show for anyone who sits there. There is also an elevated set of seats directly behind the stage seats. You can sit there as well. The trade off is that you don’t get as good a view, but there is no dollar parade for tips. I always like to be close and I’m not afraid to tip so I sat at the inside rail.

There is no alcohol at GGR so I bought an $8 Diet Coke from the very friendly waitress. There were maybe 5 dancers working at this time. Quality of the dancers was overall pretty poor. Three of them were much heavier than I was used to seeing at this spot, and my preference is for thinner girls. One of them was probably 35-40, and looked it. And the last one wasn’t too bad looking and wasn’t too old. But, she was an AA girl, which is not really my personal preference.

Since it was so slow, there was only one dancer on stage at a time. They weren’t really circulating but rather hanging out on stage near their regulars. When a dancer finally came near me, she was not attractive and I kind of wished she hadn’t come over. Her name was “Ashley”, she was probably late 20s with dark hair. Had a ton of tattoos and was probably 5’6” and 160 pounds. She was very friendly when she came over, stayed a few minutes and gave me a full and long look at her spread. But I really didn’t find her attractive - tipped her a few bucks and thankfully she moved on. After that, I moved to the outside rail for safety.
