Good Not Great Visit
I made a trip to one of my old haunts recently as I was already near the area. Not many cars in the parking lot as I pulled in which is an indicator of nothing I've learned. Once you enter, you have to be buzzed into the main area of the club. The last few times the staff has just buzzed me in but this time I had to pay the $20 membership fee. Future daytime visits are free though (eye roll). Coronas were on special for $4 and mixed drinks were $6.50.
I was surprised to find the club is doing some work on the inside! The DJ now has his booth on the opposite side of the club away from the VIP area. There is also now a wall around the VIP area although it isn't very tall so anyone walking by can still see in easily. There was some painting of the walls going on as well. Otherwise the club is the same...bar immediately to the right as you walk in, pool table near the bar, tables going back toward the stage age in the back of the club. They do serve food although I didn't partake....not terrible but nothing great on my past experiences. The men's room is on the left as you walk back toward the stage area but it has the weakest dryer I've ever seen.
When I entered there were 2 other customers and 6 dancers...4 white, 2 AA. 2 were fairly large women and one was pretty advanced pregnant (hey it is Gastonia). I sat with one of the white dancers who enjoyed the shots I was buying her, maybe too much. I got 2 VIP dances from her at the new price of $25 per song. They were decent but not up to the level I've been used to at this club. Table dances during the day are now $10 according to this dancer. All the dancers were new to me as some of the old timers have either moved on or weren't working that day.
