Sun/Mon/Tue Trip Report

Visited Sun/Mon/Tue, won't go into logistics because I flew in from CDMX, except to say that taxi was slightly cheaper *from* the airport vs. going back. Didn't expect that.

I reserved a master room and got one on the 8th floor that was great (pics uploaded for the curious). The only downside was that you have to take the elevator from the back entrance to get up to the new floors, or take a looong walk and some stairs from the front entrance. On balance, well worth it as I had a room with an outside window for some natural light.

I was curious about the fact that they take plastic for the rooms now, and I have a card that expired at the end of the month so I figured I'd try it since they wouldn't be able to skim it (if they even do that which I strongly doubt). They will make a photocopy of your ID if you do this, and they have a chip+pin machine so it seemed perfectly legit. I'll check and make sure before trying it again and if they come up clean I'll probably do it again, or more likely, get a prepaid card to save having to carry around extra cash for the room.
