Now I see What the Fuss is About

Long-time lurker; first-time reviewer. Having never been out to Industry (despite being in Los Angeles often), I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Day-um. Now I understand.

Synn is located in an area that seemed perfectly safe to me. I’m not from there, however, but I’m a middle-aged white guy and I wasn’t worried at all. The club is basically in a small strip mall so I parked in a lot myself in an available space. Nice to not have to pay for valet parking, unlike Follies and my favorite Detroit clubs.

The club itself is fine — not a dump but not Vegas-fancy either. You get patted down at the entrance which was a first for me (actually I think that happened at Follies too). I think the cover was $20 but possibly $15. If I had a Hawaiian shirt on, it would have been free because they had some sort of Luau week promotion going on.
