Quiet Bar, Worth The Visit
SOS sits right on the corner of Roosevelt Blvd. and San Juan Ave., about a 2 minute drive down the road from Flash Dancers with a mall, gas stations and fast food places all around it. It's a small building with a small parking lot but I had no trouble finding a space. The area feels nice and comfortable most the time but during rush hour the traffic can get pretty backed up and it might be hard to make a U-turn to get in.
The outside of the building looks like a nice, small restaurant, it has fake cottage windows and tuscan roofing. On the inside it's one big room. During the day when it's mostly empty, it felt like a little dive bar but when it got busier at night it seemed bigger. There's a long bar across one side of the room, which goes from the door to the back. Also by the door is the DJ booth and the T-shaped stage, which has a pole on each wing but girls mostly dance at the front (there's room to sit on all 3 sides, and a little party area formed later on at the side furthest from the door). The VIP area is in the back. It's only about 6 seats long and has doors that stay open on both sides, so it doesn't feel private at all. But dances still had a good amount of touching and talking (girls are still worried about the raids but I still got some good topless dances and got to grope, spank, etc.)
I came to the area on a day trip to check out some of the SCs in a part of Jacksonville I rarely get to anymore and also to visit Chamblin's Book Mine (a massive used book warehouse a few minutes from SOS). I used to get out this way a lot for work but it had been a couple years. I ended up spending a lot of my day at SOS so I'll give little descriptions of each time of the day because the vibe changed quite a bit throughout.
