Playhouse

The Playhouse is on Middlebelt Road right by Metro Airport. I had not been to this club in over a year, but I thought I would give it another try when I flew back to Detroit in the afternoon. I had parked my car in a long term parking lot that is just north of the club.

The valet fee was $6. There is no cover charge in the afternoon. The Playhouse is dark. The stage is in the middle of the room with a bar on one side and table seating around it. I took a table by the stage so I could see the dancers easily and ordered a beer for $8.

Only 6 or 8 dancers were working, and about half were black and half white. Most of the dancers sat at the bar with customers, but occasionally a dancer would stop by to chat. None were my type. I had hoped to see Angel, a black dancer who used to text me, but she was not there.
