Bottoms Up is a very easy place to miss, a non-descript building near University of Akron campus. You have to not judge the book by its cover, and trust that once you’re inside, things will start looking up. Upon entering this small club, you’ll notice the main room consisting of the bar, a small stage with two poles, and one raised table. Bottoms Up is far from luxurious in its decor and furniture, but is generally clean, with attentive staff that pick up and wipe down throughout the night. The music is loud enough to always be heard without being too loud to talk to those around you. Songs range from rap, to R&B, to metal, simply played through overhead speakers connected to a computer behind the bar. The main room is well lit enough to enjoy the girls on stage without having to squint.

On the Friday evening my friend and I visited, there were five girls working, four of whom were white, and one black. After entering and settling into our seats, we were immediately approached by two asking if we wanted dances, which we declined for the time being so we could scope out who our favorites were. The girls here have a wide range of body types, anywhere from sizable breasts and asses to one with with very petite breasts and a flat ass, as well as a wide age range, from 20-somethings to girls who have been dancing for 12+ years. They will approach you, and typically start up a conversation before asking if you want a dance. They are also perfectly fine with being kindly told that you’ll pass on a dance for now, maybe later.

Cover to get into bottoms up is ten dollars. This gets you in, and gets you two soft drinks (no alcohol here). Additional drinks can be purchased, such as Red Bull for three dollars. A table dance is five dollars, and lasts for one song, with your chosen girl topless, bottoms stay on. In the main room is a staircase that leads up to the VIP area for VIP dances. To purchase one of these dances, you can ask your girl of choice if she’d be up for a private dance, and if she accepts, she’ll get the attention of the bartender, who will give you a VIP ticket for ten dollars. Your girl will take you upstairs to a private booth where you will receive a private full nude dance for three songs. Be aware, there is a mandatory ten dollar tip per private dance song, making the total cost of the three song VIP dance forty dollars. How the dances go and how much physical contact is made depends on the girl you choose, but generally touching is only allowed on legs, with zero tolerance for breast or vagina touching.

Bottoms Up isn’t flashy, and the girls aren’t the type you’ll see on billboards or in magazines. That being said, they more than make up for it in enthusiasm and know-how, offering some of the sexiest and most intimate private dances around. For a comparatively low price point, you’ll see more of these girls than you get to see at most other clubs, and they’ll work hard to earn the tips they deserve.
