Reports of its death have been greatly exaggerated

As Mark Twain once said, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated." The same can be said for Diamond Dolls in Daytona Beach. Yes, on my recent visit, the curtains on the booths on the mezzanine level indeed were gone, and I wasn't expecting much from my visit other than a reconnaissance visit to assess the level of fun-depressing changes.

It was a late afternoon visit, midweek, and I really didn't notice any significant reduction in the usual number of patrons and dancers, To be sure, there seemed to be fewer, in fact zero, lap dances being conducted on the mezzanine, and, as expected, there seemed to be increased traffic to the more-private timed booths in the back. I did not partake in one of those, but will probably do so on a subsequent visit.

I as approached by a familiar face, a tall leggy blond with long hair and a gymnast's body and we had a nice conversation. She persuaded me to do a dance on one of the now sans-curtains booths and I complied. She was quite willing to lose her top and delivered a nice dance, facing me all the time so as not to show the rest of the club her breasts, but all in all, the experience was about the same as before. This girl had never offered any extras in those booths but I can imagine her colleagues who are known for those extras, have definitely been affected.
