Go at a "meh" time, have a "meh" experience
Tuesday afternoon you sort of expect the C-list dancers, and I wasn't surprised in my recent trip to Mario's. The constants are all still there: this is a clean club, the bar and wait staff is simply excellent, and you are going to feel out of place if you're not a local. This is frustrating, since it's much better here than elsewhere in MA (perhaps aside from Mardi Gras, which is a good time but tries to be more high end).
The dancers are very low on the pressure side of things, almost to a frustrating level. No, I don't want to be completely harassed, but it takes a very, very long time for girls to come up and talk to me at all. Coming in by myself, I'd like to get my drink, sit down, and talk to some of these admirably pretty girls.
Once you start talking to them, they are very consistently easy to talk to, not strung out, and often surprisingly witty. I really like the girls you find here, by and large. There's a great age range, and I like talking to dancers in their 30's and early 40's because they aren't nervous and know what patrons are looking for. There are also many younger girls, and a few older ones, if that's your speed. There's also good diversity here, both in ethnicity and body type.
