I had an afternoon off on a recent business trip and decided to try out some of the clubs that I had heard so much much about in the Tampa area. Mon Venus was the first one I tried given it's storied past.
This was beyond horrible. Walked in the middle of the afternoon. I wondered if the place was open. It looked completely empty. There was a girl on stage. Eventually I noticed there was one other person in club. Sat there for about 15 minutes. No one came to take my order. Saw 3 girls total. I would rate them between 1-3, and I'm being generous. Eventually decided my time was worth more than just wasting it there. I got up and left.
Considering the stories I have heard about this place, saying it was a big let down is a major understatement. Maybe it is better at night, but stay away during the day. I would have seen more if I had just gone to the beach!
The positive is that the club looked clean. The neighborhood was fine.
