A Great Place for Locals

GETAWAY GO GO is very much a typical dive bar/locals go go joint. It is a military area so it caters to a younger military crowd. I've I went on a Saturday around 7pm. The cover is $5 with 100% ID check. The club - as strip clubs go - is on the smaller side of clubs. One corner bar, about 15 feet by 15 ft. in length. There is a TV usually set on whatever televised sporting event is on. A couple pool tables are in the back by the restrooms. The place has one medium sized stage that allows for two dancers to work the pole at any given time. The DJ is usually the bouncer or manager. There is a kitchen and the food is not too bad tasting and reletively cheap. $10 for a burger and fries. The lighting is decent for a strip club. Not too dark but not bright, either. Saturday is Pool Tournament night for $5 an entry, winner take all. If you go on Saturday, expect it to be busier with the pool players there. Music is very loud. You can smoke inside, which is a rarity nowadays.

There were 4 girls when I first got there at 7pm and by midnight, there were 8 or so. As far as ethnicity, the talent that night appeared to be predominantly younger and white. I saw one black girl in there near the end of the night. The couple of girls I spoke to were friendly. Most of the women did spend all night with the same customers, making me feel like they were familiar with those guys - regulars or friends. I was only approached by 2 girls all night as it was so busy. I did not buy a dance but was told dances were in the $25 range, topless. I don't drink liquor but beer was $4.50 for a Bud Light. They had a beautiful blonde behind the bar when I was there last.

I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. As I said, it is more a locals hang out but that is good in the respect that the women are not over-bearing or aggressive. It's a chill place to enjoy a beer or two. Throw a few bucks in the stage. Expect to spend anywhere from $40-$200 per trip, depending on what you do there. If you are looking for a one on one experience with a girl, your best bet is to go either on a week day or earlier on the weekend, like before 6pm before the regulars show up. The surrounding area outside the club is not one I'd walk around alone at night but you're safe if you got a ride to and from.
