Good spot in Providence

This club is a good option for the Providence area. People are right that its a better time if your a regular or have been there more than once, but its still a good time even if not. I had gone to Desire a few times, but hadn't been back in the area for more than a year, so wasn't sure what to expect. The stories about changes in Providence a few months back made me worry that it was gonna be really lame, but it wasnt.

I went down to Desire on a wednesday night after doing some work up in Mass. I got there kinda early, around 10. There were maybe 15 girls working, and about 20 dudes in the place. I've never been upstairs to Lust - maybe one day I'll check it out. The club itself looked the same - one large stage up front with a pole and a tip row, around 10 tables and chairs behind the tip row, and two small couches to watch the show on the left. A much smaller stage on the right that is mostly used, but on real slow nights they dont bother with a second dancer. the back half of the place has two square bars with stools all around it. Next to the main stage are two giant tv screens with sports going in case the stage show isnt interesting.

If you stand between the bars, girls will approach you for a dance, not as much if you sit at the bars. Girls also stand between the bars to kill time and show they are available. Drinks are ok priced, maybe $10 for rails, $8ish for beer I think, and there is a card you can by for $20 that gets you $25 worth of drinks. Theres an outside smoking lounge through a door to the right, and in the back right are the small private dance booths - i think its $25 per song there. On the front left is the bathroom, and next to it the larger private rooms, $140 for 15 mins. Dances are 2 way contact, and topless or full nude. YMMV. Id say pretty good prices compared to other cities.
