Hurricane was not much of a storm
I had a center city dinner meeting so afterward, swung by Sabel's. I had not been there in a while, but didn't remember it being a bad experience.
$5 cover got me in the door (after a pat down by the bouncer in a Kevlar vest). They open at 8:00 and I arrived at 9:00, but there was one patron and one dancer sitting at the bar, and one bartender. I began to wonder if I was ripped off in my $5 cover. I headed to the bathroom first, then ordered a Coke ($2 plus tip). Drink prices looked very reasonable, but I had just consumed two IPAs and didn't want to have issues driving home.
After I sat down, the girls started to trickle out of the back room. Each did a single song, completely covered dance. Most didn't even bother using the pole. All were WOC, which I expected. As I had camped out near the stage, they would go straight for me for the first installment of a very small tip parade. I was surprised that none offered a dance in the roughly 30-35 minutes that I was there. The first girl (didn't give her name) had a big booty but was putting on a good chair grind for a few minutes. She then moved on. Eventually two more PLs showed up. Each girl would do her stage show, not showing anything on stage, then go to me for $2-3 in tips.
