Out of the Ordinary

North Carolina doesn't have a strong reputation as a clubbing state despite its size and geographic diversity.  With this in mind I usually skip any strip club visits when my travels take me through the state, but when I had some downtime outside Charlotte I discovered the TUSCL listing for this place and decided the reviews were interesting enough to check it out in person.

Even for a small town this club is atypical on several levels, starting from the small, nondescript building right on US 29. The signage isn't especially subtle but I missed the club on my first pass just because it blends in so well with the other small commercial/light industrial buildings in the area. Parking is available in the lot beside or behind the building - I assume anyone with local ties would opt for behind since the front is very visible from the highway.

Entering the club from the side, most of the main floor is wide open, and the overall vibe is like a mediocre recreation center than any strip club.  There's a small bar/snack counter to the right as you enter, with the VIP rooms to the left.  Further in is a living room style couch setup, centered on a large TV.  Beyond that are a couple of pool tables, with the dance and dressing rooms beyond.
