Little has changed

This is a review of Rick’s in Pittsburgh. I made two vists, one Monday evening May 20, 2019 from about 9;30 to 10:30 and the other on Tuesday afternoon the 21th from 4:15 to 5:30. I had been here previously about 2 years ago. Still of course at its downtown location only a couple of blocks from the convention center and with no parking of its own. Very little has changed under its new name. In fact the old name of Blush was still being used for the sport’s bar on the third floor. A manager type guy in a suit collected a $10 cover on Monday evening and nobody was collecting cover in the afternoon. Sign said one drink minimum but no server approached Monday night so I avoided that. The place was about half full on Monday but this is a small place and the second floor balcony wasn’t open. There was not a Pirates game in town that night. The stage is kind of high with 2 2-story high poles which some dancers made good use of. There was also a ring above the stage which one dancer on each visit gave a very acrobatic performance. There were about 15 dancers Monday evening, mostly white, several of wh0m were Eastern European, and about 20% AA. Most were trim, one kind of fat. One dancer on stage initially transitioning to 2 after 10 pm. They did 3 song sets, topless at first and usually going nude in the 3rd song. This is a “gown” club on the floor, most of the gowns being not very fancy. The main lap dance area is behind the bar, a row of full height cubicles with curtains (and cameras). Lap dances are $30 for one song, $79 for 3 songs. There are also champagne rooms (on the 4th floor of the building) at $220 for a half hour and $360 for one hour. They were also advertising a lunch special of 20 minutes of champagne room for $120 between noon and 2 pm. They also were advertising that they would be open until 3 am on Friday and Saturday nights.

I had the 3 for $79 dances with two women on Monday night. The first was an AA from Las Vegas she said. She properly waited for the next song to start, closing the curtain signals the guy at the entrance to the area that lap dances are starting. Most of the dancers go nude in the LD at least for part of 3 songs, although it’s so dark you can’t see much. This first dancer was all above board but rather sensual. The second dancer was by her accent Eastern European, didn’t wait for the next song, and smelled really bad, so not much of a good time. You pay the dancer afterwards and she pays the club its cut as you leave the area. The club cut is $29 out of the $79, I saw the guy ring this up on the cash register.

On Tuesday afternoon there were about a dozen customers and the dancer list on the TV had 15 dancers total. No waitress until after 5 pm and then I had a Fiji water for $4. Had one 3 for $79 lap dance with a dancer named Bailey, not a lot of heavy contact but sensual. In summary nothing much has changed here, decent looking nude dancers, moderate contact, maybe a bit high priced.
