Casual night with expensive drinks
Bourbon street was a little slow as a buddy and me stopped by after dinner on a Wednesday night around 10pm. We acted like we were going to keep walking down the street as the barker out front offered free cover. Unfortunately, we decided to get a drink but they were very expensive even for strip club standards. My Bacardi and coke was $14.25.
There were about as many dancers as customers as we walked in. It got a little more crowded over the hour we stayed but still slow. I guess that’s normal for summertime in New Orleans. The dancer talent was pretty good...mostly 7-8 quality girls. I met a young redhead named Cassidy that was a cute girl next door type complete with glasses.
Unfortunately the dances on bourbon are nowhere near as good as Houston clubs. I got one $20 dance (table-side but no contact). I tipped her $10 more for the time hanging out before the dance than anything. She would have been fun to have a real dance like I’m used to in Houston.
