Decent club, being upgraded, next to The Cherry

I went to Sophie’s Club and Cherry (was Visions) in one shot, as they are basically in the same parking lot. I actually walked from my room at the Holiday inn express about ¼ mile away (a few months back on a business trip), so I had a few and am a little fuzzy on some of the details. I’ll describe Sophie’s first and give details on Cherry if anyone wants to hit up both. Sophie’s looks like it was a converted roller skating rink: the inside is oddly proportioned- one large open area like a long barn shape. Some of the Décor was a bit dated, and some was being updated, but clean and safe feeling over all. I think there were multiple bars actually, but I went all the way to the back to get a beer and sat at the stage. Beer prices were typical, $1 tips at the stage seemed acceptable, I think I paid $10 to get in. Lap dances were $20, and were in a not very private area near the bar, but it was a decent contact. Bathroom was clean, and everyone was reasonably friendly.

Cherry’s is more updated and feels laid out more like a typical club with lots of plush chairs and a big main stage. The lap dance area was much more private- I think there were several small rooms that were open to the hallway but had some sheer curtains. Drink prices were similar there, and I think talent was a little better. Overall, I think both are worth going to and seem relatively safe- I drove by 2 other clubs in town that looked like they were run down biker bars.

The walk to the hotel felt reasonably safe- the hotel was in a complex of shops that were in the process of being built, so the caliber of the clubs may go up if there's some good development going on there.
