The Thunderdome of Aggressive Strippers

I've been going to Vegas Rhino for the past 5 years and needed a change of pace. I didn't know much about Sapphire other than what I had heard about it from fellow enthusiasts. Not one to take advice from a vegas cab driver (rookie error i know), I took advice from a vegas cab driver and asked him about the difference between rhino and sapphire. he said "rhino if you like porn stars, sapphire if you like a bit of everything and all types of girls." My man you are a sage. Sold. Let's try out this Sapphire!

Having not been there before, I wasn't totally shocked that it was $50 cover to get in and it was about 9 or 10 at night. screw free limo service, those never show up on time - eat the taxi and the cover. There wasn't much of a line outside and walked in. You can't sit down at the stage unless you get drink service or I guess tip the host, that part was totally unclear and would have been the much better decision for me. It seems that most of the girls congregate in the bar area - so at least with a table you have some refuge from the pirahnas. Before I even made it that far I was ambushed by 2 girls (believe both were eastern european, a 5 and a 7) who wanted to give me a tour of the facilities. Basically, they get you to tour the VIP and push a hard upsell when they have you cornered. They were quoting absurd prices which I imagine were for both of their time and drinks. Seriously annoying. I think it came in somewhere around 300 for 15, 500 for 30, and 1000 for an hour. I kept on asking for how much for one girl, but they just didn't want to answer the question. I was kind of getting annoyed so we went back to the bar and figured I would just buy them 2 drinks to make them leave me alone. That escapade was something like 70 bucks for 3 drinks. Again, I'm already kind of not happy with the experience because I still have not been left alone to survey what's on tap because you can't even spend 10 seconds by yourself without another stripper vip sell onslaught.

Anyways, I finally fell upon an absolutely smoking Kim Kardashian look alike (easily a 9), bought her a watered down shot for 20, then spent way too much time with her in VIP and while she was hot and the dance was decent, she really reallly liked to talk and spent 10 out of the 30 dancing and 20 sitting there and blabbing. But here's the worst part, the shakedown waitress in VIP. After overcharging for drinks (if i recall it was 300 for one girl for 30 minutes, but 100 of that was min 4 drinks, the waitress expected a 20% tip on the 100 of drinks). I tipped her 10% thinking that was more than enough. She chastized me some nonsense about how the service was similar to tipping at a restaurant. Even the stripper was upset with her aggressiveness because at the end of the day, she's the one doing the work and this waitress b*tch is stealing her money. I ended up going a couple of more rounds only because Kim or whaetever her name was was hot and I didn't want to go outside and deal with stripper onslaught. but man did i hate tipping that waitress with passion.
