Lunch and . . . a show?
We decided to venture out to a new club. PH has lost its charm and it's time to move on. We decided to go to The Landing Strip for an early afternoon lunch and show. We were a bit weirded out that we had to go upstairs to the club. I can't imagine how this works coming back down the stairs after a night of drinking and debauchery. We were met my a (very) young, and very sweet hostess who basically said we could sit wherever we wanted. We took a booth near the bar. The place was smaller than we're used to, cross shaped, raised stage with multiple poles. Two dancers at a time, for the most part.
We ordered food. It was good, not great, but good. It was a bit early for me to start drinking and the waitress refused to refill my water. She said that without ordering a drink, she would get in trouble. Seriously? I get the pressure to order alcohol, as that is a huge profit center for any establishment of this type, but I did order food, my girl was drinking and I was parched. Needless to say, her tip was diminished accordingly.
We did have a cute, older dancer come over and say hi. She was sweet. We talked for a while, but were not excited enough for a dance. We tipped her and thanked her for the time.
Upon leaving, we tipped the hostess. She was the best thing we found in this club.
All in all, not a club that fits our style or needs. Probably not coming back.
