Very Varying Experiences
Thee (with 2 "E"s) Officers Club sits just outside a Naval base in what's traditionally been a pretty seedy neighborhood but is trying to move upscale with new developments. In that spirit, the club has been remodeled into a pretty nice looking place (on the inside, at least...driving by, you'd think it was still shut down). It has 2 long stages and 2 small floor stages, though even when it's busy most of the action stays on the one main stage. There's a large seating area and plenty of TVs but the focus is usually at the bar, which sits right by the central stage. The bathrooms are small but clean.
The thing about Officers Club is when it's slow, it's SLOW. The flip side is it has a friendly, neighborhood bar vibe, and even when it picks up it never feels overcrowded, and I get very few aloof or tense vibes. I went in on a Friday afternoon to see what day shift was like, there were two dancers working the whole time and they were both sitting with guys at the bar. But once I got over how quiet it was, I nursed a drink and shot the shit with the bartenders and managers for awhile. It turned out one of the bar girls also gave dances, and by the time evening shift slowly rolled in and a lot of cute girls and other customers showed up, I was pleasantly buzzed, talking to/getting dances from all the best looking girls, and feeling really good.
Basically, it's very variable depending on when you get there and if you're willing to hang out and get familiar. The hotness of the girls, and how many are working, are especially variable, more than at other places. Drinks were $8 (or $6 from the well), and when I bought a dancer a drink they didn't charge me, which is the only place I've ever experienced that. Dances in the back are $30, and they don't involve "extras" but the girls were very sexy and accommodating of almost everything else. The staff was the friendliest I've ever dealt with at a club, especially during the day (one night bartender is a little diva-ish and off-putting but there's usually a co-worker to compensate...I will say that when it gets busy, the bar is often a little strained to keep up with all the requests, the register/computer seems to cause the bartenders a little trouble).
