Arrived in Tijuana just before 8pm. Like most, I have followed the advice of others on here.

Parked at lot near where train from San Diego ends right at the border. Weekend rate was posted. $12 for 8 hours or a weekend special of $12 for Friday-Sunday. Hmm. I chose the latter and turns out that was a good choice, not to mention the obvious choice. Walked across the street to the right and followed the path into Mexico. Showed passport card and was waived through into Mexico. Walked down the long path. As you near the end, there are some club cars off to the right behind a fenced area. Usually, there is always at least one club represented at any given time, if not, there will be shortly. I took a Hong Kong ride on my first trip and tipped the driver $5. Optionally, if no club cars had been present, there are Mexican Uber like vehicles and cabs at the bottom of the path about another 100 feet ahead. Uber like cars will try to charge you $8-$10. Cabbies will usually be $5-8, some will try to charge you more if you look or act like a noob or just flat drunk. Walking to Zona Norte highly discourage, especially if you are alone. A lot of muggings, etc. happen on first street and likely to encounter some corrupt law enforcement as well that will turn your club money into a get out of jail fine payment. In short, don't walk. Spend the money for the cab. Once you get there, go into the club in which the cab you rode over and walk around. I do it as a courtesy just because I got a free ride out of it and to see what is going on in other clubs.
