Nice enough, but only with moderated expectations

I haven't been to Silk Madison in quite some time, but had the opportunity and thought I'd take a look and see what might have changed. The sign outside says something like "Now open 7pm every day". I swear it used to be 4pm, but this site properly lists it as 7pm, so maybe I've confused it with something else. Whether or not it's a change, it appears they don't have an afternoon shift.

I arrived around 10pm. There was no bouncer/doorman checking ids (or watching the lot). Inside the woman at the desk also didn't bother checking an id. Cover charge was $10. My bottle of water was $5. Inside there were around ten customers. The atmosphere was very low key. While I was there (until almost midnight) they had one dancer on stage at a time. They ran a promotion with all of the dancers on stage (where they just sat around chatting with each other) and I counted about a dozen. The dancers generally hung out at the larger bar in the back, with a few sitting with customers.

Of the dozen or so dancers, one was black, the rest were white. There were three that I thought were very attractive - fit with nice figures. One was significantly heavy, and maybe pregnant. The others sort of fell in between - decent and pleasant to watch on stage but not particularly special. The stage show was laid back. One dancer did some fun pole tricks, but they mostly just moved from one customer to another at the stage chatting briefly and motorboating them for a tip. The club has fixed up the stage. The cushioned area around it has been replaced and is no longer ripped up.
