Have had a decent, almost enjoyable, time at Jackson's best club on a few occasions recently, but I have to say that although this club certainly outstrips its competition down the block, it's still a far cry from anything in Memphis, Tampa, Houston, or even Birmingham or Denver. Weak, at best.

On recent visits, though, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dancers, up a notch from last year and from the times I visited just after the Mayor's recent crackdown. Several ladies are actually attractive enough to merit being dancers (gasp!), which isn't always the case, and isn't the case with a larger percentage on any given night. There are about ten girls working on a given weeknight, perhaps fifteen on a weekend. Things still get very very loud on weekend nights, and it's quite smoky in here. The service is great, though they can only offer beers and wine coolers. Generally drinks are $4, Diet Coke or beer or Smirnoff, and they will charge you that obscene amount for a bottle of water, too).

I noticed several tall girls (many blondes; a few Af-Ams as well) who have just the right amount of body fat to appear attractive, and the right amount of muscle tone to be able to move and to present themselves sexily. Unfortunately they all have childbearing breasts, deflated, or at least just very small non-perky non-stellar. There are only two or three girls here who have excessively enhanced hooters. Some of the Black women have that bootie backside, huge but still firm. As long as it's firm I'm happy to get ahold! But almost no girls have the whole package. And they spend little of their time actually working as dancers. They will go on stage to do their thing, but otherwise they do not involve themselves in customer service. Many will simply drop right back to street clothes and hang with the "cooler" customers or with the abusive DJ and the monster-sized freakazoid bouncers.
