Pulse lost me as a customer last week

After I took one dancer friend to Club Cabaret last Wednesday evening (see my recent review) and had a good time, I decided to take another dancer friend to Pulse on Thursday night. We arrived about 9, ordered drinks from the bar, and sat at a table near the stage. We stayed long enough to watch three different apathetic ghetto girls move listlessly on stage, hardly interacting with us at all. We left in less than an hour and moved on to Club Cabaret in Creve Coeur, which to my surprise was only 12 minutes away!

Here's the thing: When we entered the club, the door guy demanded $10 from each of us! I pointed out that I had taken a woman to Club Cabaret the night before and paid no cover and all he had to say was "That's a different club. Here everybody pays $10!" Though I've had a worse time on rare occasions in my over 1000 visits to strip clubs, I have never previously had to pay $10 per person for the privilege of seeing no dancers that interested me in the least.

I wish we had skipped Pulse and gone directly to Club Cabaret. This club's greedy demand for $20 cover from a couple on an extremely slow weeknight guarantees that I will NOT return to Pulse!
